Kings Lynn & Eastern Counties
Shoeing and Shoemaking Competition 2010.

Billy Mulqueen competiting in the Donkey trimming Class

This years show was held on Sat 11th & Sunday 12th September 2010 at  Church Farm Rare Breeds (Stow Bardolph, near Downham Market, Norfolk), we had a bumper year for competitor numbers and a fantastic 2 days of competitions were enjoyed by all. This years Judges were Mr Will O'Shaugnessy AWCF, Mr Stephen Hill AWCF and Mr Mark White AWCF all of whom had to work hard to judge each and every class.
This year we had competitors from not just East Anglia but from right across the country including Lancashire, Cheshire and even Wales and on top of that,as well as Mr Scott Inman who traveled from across the pond in America we also had 2 French farriers come over the Channel to compete, a real worldly experience for all.

A massive thank you must go to Church Farm for putting up with us, plus all the sponsors and to all those who helped out with Anvils, Fires and with organising horses for us to shoe over the weekend, without you all it simply would not have happened, plus of course the amazing 'Daphne' who is at the heart of all we achieve, Thank you.

Another Massive Thank You must go to the Donkey Sanctuary who have gave us copies of there Donkey Trimming DVD was given free to every competitor at this years show, plus they kindly gave us 4 Donkey Sanctuary Goodie Bags containing a hoof trimming knife plus various Donkey Sanctuary Goodies for the top 3 places in the Donkey Trimming Class and the best Apprentice in the class.
Fantastic.

I managed to film a few short clips,  which i hope you will all enjoy.
